Time is alive.
In the Maya world, each day carries a spirit, a face, a breath. The 20 day-lords of the Tzolk’in are not just markers on a calendar — they are living energies that shape the rhythm of creation. This book is a grimoire of cups. A way of listening to time through taste, smell, and ritual. Each day-lord is paired with safe, drinkable botanicals — teas and cacao that carry the resonance of their energy. When you sip with awareness, you invite the spirit of the day into your body.
There are two ways to walk with this practice:
- to follow the sacred count of the 260 days, drinking in rhythm with the calendar.
- or to open the grimoire like an oracle, choosing the energy you most need in this moment.
Each chapter offers:
- an invocation to call the day-lord,
- a description of the energy,
- the magic of the botanicals,
- recipes for tea and cacao,
- and ways to sip with intention.
More than recipes, this is a practice of presence.
Each cup is an offering. Each sip is a thread woven between you, the plants, and the living spirit of time.
